About Air Cruisers Company LLC
Air Cruiser Company is a subsidiary of Zodiac Aerospace. Originally founded in 1935, the company now operates as part of the Zodiac Aerospace Aerosafety & Technology business segment. While in operation, Air Cruisers made about %60 of the safety inflatable equipment including but not limited to life vests, life rafts, helicopter floats, evacuation slides and other materials. These items were successfully utilized in various incidents such as the US Airway craft that landed on the Hudson River in 2009.
With a total of about 2759 employees, Air Cruisers has a stream of federal contracts including aircraft escape slides, as well as repair/modification of inflatable life rafts and support gear. Zodiac secured a sole supplier contract for escape chutes installed on Bombardier's new CSeries aircraft in mid-2010.
